The Rev. Joseph Arthur "Duke" McAlpine Jr.

The Rev. Joseph Arthur "Duke" McAlpine, Jr., age 90, of Raleigh, departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Memorial Service, 12 Noon, Monday, November 6, 2023, at Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3703 Tryon Road, Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. Harry L. White Jr., Pastor, Officiating.  Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  

“Duke” was preceded in death by a grandson, Ashley Jaxon Duren.

Survivors; wife, Jean Seeley McAlpine; daughter, Joelle M. Duren (Walter); son, Richard S. McAlpine (Octavia); sister, Bessie Spann; brothers, Robert McAlpine and Spencer McAlpine (Kim); 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
