Survivors: husband, Walter B. Roach Jr.; children, Nicholas Hemby, Donald L. Watson Jr. and Cathryn Shakur; grandchildren, Jordan Hemby, Alana S. Hemby, Kingsley B. Hemby and Nicole Roach; siblings, The Rev. Dr. Allonia Hemby Holmes, The Rev. Stewart Hemby (Earlene), Jackie Hemby, Attorney Emma Jean Levi and The Rev. Jas A. Hemby (Irene); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
