Ms. Shayla Marie Chavis

Ms. Shayla Marie Chavis, age 21, of 167 Valleycruise Circle, Garner, departed this life on Monday, August 31, 2020.

Funeral, 11 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2020, at New Restoration Outreach Christian Center, 6904 Poole Road, Raleigh.  Bishop Eric Ellis, Pastor, Officiating.  Visitation, 10:30 to 11 AM, just prior to the service.  

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the service is by invitation only.  The family will notify attendees.  All others are asked to join the family for a Dove Release Ceremony at 12:30, after the service.

Survivors; parents, Lawrence David Chavis Jr. and Kela Serrina Nelson Chavis of the home; sisters, Desinia Miller (Joseph) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brianna Chavis (Brandeshia) of Moore, OK and Kayla Chavis of Raleigh; paternal grandparents, Lawrence David Chavis Sr. and Dorothy Jean Chavis of Akron, OH; maternal grandmother, Helen Williams Nelson of Maumelle, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Public viewing, 2 to 8 PM, Friday, September 4, 2020 at the funeral home.
