Public viewing, 1 PM to 8 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, at the funeral home. Interment, Rand Street Christian Church Cemetery, 213 Haywood St., Garner.
Survivors; sons, James Capers, Jr., Antonio Capers, Carl Capers, Terese Capers, and Robert Harris; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Lisa Smith, Sharon Smith, Janice Smith, and Yvonne Smith; brothers, Antonio Smith and Gabriel Smith; one aunt, Mary E. Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
