Ms. Bettie Hemby Taylor, age 78, of 2917 Creech Road - Apt. 318, Raleigh, departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2020. 

The private Memorial Service will take place at 1 PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Steven L. Lyons Funeral Home, 1515 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh.  The Interment will follow at 2:30 at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner.  The Interment is open to the public whereas the Memorial Service is for family and invited persons only.  

Survivors; daughter, Tempest Hatten of Acworth, GA; son, Patrick M. Hemby (Raquel Hemby) of Canton, GA; sisters, The Rev. Dr. Allonia H. Holmes of Raleigh, Jackie Hemby of Raleigh, Attorney Jean Levi of Chapel Hill, The Rev. Dr. Beulah Roach (Walter Roach) of Raleigh and Lee Nipper (Eddie) of Raleigh; brothers, The Rev. Jas A. Hemby (The Rev. Irene Hemby) of Raleigh, The Rev. Stewart Hemby (Earlene Hemby) of Raleigh and The Rev. Dr. Frank Hemby (The Rev. Dr. Mary Hemby) of Hookerton; 3 grandchildren, Paris Hemby, Krystle Hemby and Andre' Dejarnett; 7 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
