Ms. Anna Bell Hodges Byrd, age 80, of Durham, departed this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Funeral, 1:30 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3703 Tryon Road, Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. Harry L. White Jr., Pastor, Officiating.  Visitation, 1 PM to 1:30 PM, prior to the service.  Interment, Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Boulevard, Raleigh.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the funeral home. 

Survivors; children; Arvelis Byrd and Ali Byrd (Carolyn); 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson on the way; siblings, Robert Young, Walter Hodges (Kimberly), Jerry Hodges, Mark Hodge, Tommie Cynthia Hodge-Sykes, Sharon Hodge, Katherine Theresa Hodge-White, Ardella Demyers and Roderick "Rick" Hodge; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her loving caretaker, whom she thought of as extended family, Tressa Herring.

The family will receive friends at 1320 Farm Pond Trail, Durham.
