Mrs. Yvonne Simmons Pettis, age 83, of Charlotte, formerly of Raleigh, departed this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Atrium Health Union West in Matthews, NC.

Memorial Service, 1 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026, Weeping Willow AME Zion Church, 2220 Milton Road, Charlotte, NC.  The Rev. Henrico D. White, Pastor.  The Rev. Dr. Gregory K. Moss, Eulogist.   The Ivy Beyond the Wall Service will begin at 11 AM followed by the Visitation with the family from 12 Noon to 1 PM, prior to the Memorial Service. 

Survivors; children, Gina Pettis Dean (Carl A. Dean I) and Eugene Omar Pettis; grandchildren, Carl A. Dean II and Sheena Dean; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
