Mrs. Shirley Pulley Whitaker, age 70, of Raleigh, departed this life on  Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  

Funeral, 11 AM, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Mount Peace Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. J. Vincent Terry, Sr., Pastor. Interment, Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner.  Visitation, 10:30 to 11 AM, prior to the service.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the funeral home.  

Survivors; husband, Charles E. Whitaker; daughters, Charlsea Whitaker, Chandra Whitaker and Krystal Whitaker; sisters, Pastor Joyce P. Hinton (Thurmon), Lila P. Hunter, Annette P. Jones (Arthur) and Sandra P. Womack; brother, Willie E. Pulley (Sandra) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including a special god-daughter, Davon H. Grant and great god-daughter, Emersyn Grant.
