Mrs. Ruby Bradsher Ward, age 72, departed this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021.  

Graveside, 10 AM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021, The Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. Wayne Beatty, Pastor, Lincolnville AME Church, Officiating.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Monday, January 25, 2021 at the funeral home.  

Survivors; daughter, Dr. Courtney D. Ward-Sutton (Brian) of Raleigh; sons, Richard E. Ward II, Robert Ward and Steven Goodson all of Raleigh; sisters, Mary Jordan and Bertha Patel both of Raleigh; 4 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
