Mrs. Roxie Lee Williams Yarborough, age 85, formerly of Raleigh, departed this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Myrtle Beach Grove, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Funeral, 3 PM, Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Grace AME Zion Church, 1401 Boyer Street, Raleigh. The Rev. Nathaniel Cox, Pastor. Pastor Vernell Leach of The Kingdom Ministries of Raleigh, Officiating. Visitation, 2:30 PM to 3 PM, prior to the service. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2023
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Lina Williams, brothers, Earnest and Sylvester Williams, beloved son, Michael A. Yarborough and former spouses, James Yarborough and Crosby Chapple.
Survivors; children, Cheryl D. Nicholson (Evins Nicholson Sr.), James Yarborough, Pamela L. Smith (Mark Smith), and Cynthia Yarborough; an aunt, Louise Wiggins; sister-in-law, Delores Williams; 10 grandchildren; Tanisha Smith, Mark Smith, Melissa Smith (LaKevin), Evins Nicholson Jr. (Latoya), LiShanda Yarborough, Jenise Yarborough, James Yarborough Jr., Landon Gonsalves, Patrice Smith, and Cherise McNeil (Tristan); 9 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
