Mrs. Rena Ellis Williams

Rena Ellis Williams, age 81, of Cary, NC, born in New York, Long Island, NY to the late Leon Wilson and Essie Mae Ellis on April 13, 1939, was called home to her great reward in Heaven on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at WakeMed, Cary, NC. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alice Ellis, who raised her; sisters, Maude Ellis and Saundra Ellis Brooks and special uncle, Howard Ellis.

She loved and cared for her family which included Uncle Raymond Ellis of East Spencer, NC; cousins, Idella Watkins of Salisbury, NC Virginia Miller of East Spencer, NC and Jimmy and Betty Hailey of Lexington, NC.  

She will be forever remembered as a beautiful woman who had the heart of a servant and a devoted wife and an ever faithful steward over her many blessings.  Her faith and love for the Lord and His work were the cornerstones of life and will be a legacy for family and friends for generations. 

She was a former member of Jerusalem Baptist Church of East Spencer, NC and Greater Abyssinian in Newark, NJ and attended Watts Chapel Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC.  

She leaves to cherish her memories; her spouse of over 60 years, Alfred J. Williams of the home; step daughter, Alvaretta Chambers of Salisbury, NC; sister-in-law, Martha Nevius of Salisbury, NC and Ruby Williams of Chesterfield, VA.

A memorial service will planned for a later date.
