Mrs. Rachel W. Howell, age 86, of Durham, departed this life on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Funeral, 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at New Calvary Baptist Church, 3024 Burton Road, Durham, N.C. Interment, Church Cemetery. Public Viewing, 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 19, 2024 at the funeral home.

Survivors; daughter, Shelia Daniels (Al); 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ruth Taylor (Berkley); brother, Oscar Lee Howell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
