Mrs. Dorothy Williams Stroud, age 84, of 205 Gatewood Drive, Garner, departed this life on Friday, January 29, 2021 at UNC Rex Healthcare, Raleigh, three and a half hours before her beloved husband, Navy Lee Stroud Sr.

Funeral, 12 Noon, Monday, February 8, 2021, at Deliverance Cathedral of Love, 1705 Curtis Drive, Raleigh.  Bishop M.S. Nesbitt, Pastor.  The Rev. Dr. G.A. Jones Jr., Pastor, Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Officiating. Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  Interment, Carolina Biblical Gardens.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the funeral Home.  

Survivors; daughters, Gwendolyn Gilbert of Raleigh, Mary Ann Utley of Fayetteville, Gladys Marie Stroud of Raleigh, Jeanette Hodge (Thomas) of Louisburg and Barbara Jean Stroud of the home; sons, Navy L. Stroud Jr. of the home and Dennis Hugh Stroud (Evangeline) of Benson; sisters; Elizabeth Williams of Whitakers, Ruth Bell Whitakers of Rocky Mount and Mildred Caudle of Tarboro; brothers, James Earl Williams (Rozella) of Rocky Mount; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
