Mrs. Doris Denise Cobb Oakes

Mrs. Doris Denise Cobb Oakes, age 61, of Raleigh, departed this life on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. 

Funeral, 12 Noon, Friday, November 5, 2021, at State Street Community Church, 1200 South State Street, Raleigh.  Bishop Daryl Clark, Pastor.  The Rev. Charles Valentine of Burning Bush Ministries of Clayton, Officiating.  Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  Interment, The Historic Oakwood Cemetery.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home.  

Survivors; husband, Renard "Mont" Oakes of the home; daughters, LaKeshia Cobb of Franklinton, Crystal Cobb of Louisburg, Tiffany Cobb of Houston, TX and Renesha Oakes of Raleigh; sons, Chris Cobb, Stephon Cobb and Steve Cobb all of Raleigh; sisters, Evelyn Taylor (Dwight Sr.), JoAnne Radulescue (Dan) and Linda Cobb Faulk all of Raleigh and Lucille Cobb Bumpers (Otis) of Wendell; a brother-in-law, Lewis McLaine of Chesapeake, VA; 27 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

The family will receive friends at 530 Lula Place, Apt. 102, Raleigh.
