Funeral, 12:00PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026, Victory Tabernacle Church, 1329 US70W, Garner, NC, The Rev. James Perkins, Pastor, Officiating, Bishop Gerald Sylver ,Pastor of Freedom Temple Church, Eulogist. Visitation, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Interment, Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, N.C. Public Viewing, Friday, February 20, 2026, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Survivors; husband, Dr. James A. Forbes Jr.; son, James A. Forbes III (Brandy); daughters, Celestine Beckett and Linnita Daily (James); grandchildren, Isaiah Dwane,  Dawson Emmanuel, Hannah Rose Forbes and James Alexander Forbes IV; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a godson, Saint Christopher Wilkerson.
