Mr. Wilbur Tharpe

Mr. Wilbur Tharpe, age 71, of 2442 Kennington Road, Raleigh, departed this life on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Funeral, 12 Noon, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Smith Temple Freewill Baptist Church, 322 South East Street.  Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 7 PM.  

Survivors: sisters, Barbara Tharpe Walker (James) of Raleigh, Inez Tharpe Thomas (Horace) of Rex, GA, Trunell Tharpe Perry (the late Roosevelt Perry) of Colorado Springs, CO and Clara T. Hicks (the late Raymond Hicks) of Jeffersonville, GA ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a brother-in-law, Theodore Sutton, husband of Wilbur’s late twin sister, Myrtle T. Sutton.
