Mr. Pete “Smitty” Noble Muhammad, age 54, of Raleigh, departed this life on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
Funeral, 1 PM, Friday, June 23, 2023, Poplar Springs Christian Church, 6115 Old Stage Road, Raleigh. The Rev. Charles W. Brooks, Pastor. Minister Demetries Green, Officiating. Visitation, 12:30 - 1 PM, Friday, prior to the service. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Robert Smith Sr. & Earline Smith, brother Robert Smith Jr. Sisters Nadine Davis, Peggy Lee Smith and Juliette Smith.
His legacy will continue through his children; Angel Howard of Raleigh, Demetries Green (Porscha) of Clayton, John Green of Raleigh and Farrah Anum of Charlotte; bonus son, Eli Norman; 3 grandson, Amir Woods, Jeremiah Anum, and Karter Davis; siblings, Nancy Adams (Roy) of Raleigh, Andean Smith (Gwen) of Raleigh, Betty McKoy of Raleigh, Mamie Smith (Lonnell) of Raleigh, Jimmy Smith (Olivia) of Wake Forest, Kathy Smith (James) of Goldsboro, Jerry Smith (Valerie) of Raleigh, Bobbie Smith of Garner, Melinda Smith of Durham, Mary Smith of Raleigh, Diane Banks (Lemuel) of Raleigh and Betty Jo Smith of Garner.
He loved all of his nieces and nephews dearly; however, Marvin (Nuke) Hodge held a special place in his heart as a little brother, along with a host of cousins, teammates, coaches and friends.
