Mr. Johnny Lee "Bookie" Jernigan, age 90, of 2811 Providence Road, Raleigh, departed this life on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

Memorial Service, 1 PM, Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Smith Temple Baptist Church, 322 South East Street, Raleigh.
Pastor Oscar L. Holland, Officiating.

Survivors; his loving and caring wife, Agnes Harris Jernigan of the home; daughters, Jonice Cooper (James) and Denise Jernigan (James) both of Raleigh; sons, Lorenzo Jernigan, Johnathan Jernigan (Pam) and Dexter Burnette all of Raleigh and Darryl Burnette (Monique) of Ladowici, GA; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Edna Wade Wilder of Raleigh; brother, Jesse Jernigan of Fuquay-Varina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
