Funeral, 11 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2019, Young Missionary Temple CME Church, 2901 Sanderford Road. The Rev. Ronald White, Pastor, Officiating. The Rev. Dr. Johnnie L. McCullers, Pastor, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Hamlet, Presiding. Interment, Carolina Biblical Gardens. Visitation, 10 to 11 AM, Tuesday, prior to the service.

Survivors: wife, Rosalene Tanner of Raleigh; parents, Johnny Cooper Jr. and Shirley Ann Gilmore Cooper of Raleigh, children; Jonathan (Lakreisha), Jeremy (Precious), Abigail, Chelsea, John Christian and Madison; brothers, John “Lorraine”, Thomas (Yolanda) of Raleigh; sisters, Carolyn “Dee Dee”, Tanya (Larry), Karen (Brandon) all of Raleigh; 6 grandchildren, Adrian, Jamari, Zikia, Trinity, Laila and Denesha; special friends that were more like brothers, The. Rev. Dr. Johnny L. McCullers and Deacon Curtis Boykin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Monday, May 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
