Mr. Jasper D. Thorne, age 78, of 1814 Cinema Drive, Fuquay-Varina, departed this life on Friday, November 19, 2021. 

Funeral, 1 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021, Steven L. Lyons Funeral Home, 1515 New Bern Ave., Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. Joseph R. Rogers, Sr., Officiating.  Visitation, 12:30 - 1 PM, prior to the service.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 6 PM, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the funeral home.  

Survivors; former spouse, Anastasia F. Thorne of Holly Springs; sons, Derrick Thorne of Farmville, Troy Freeman of Holly Springs and Tracey Freeman of Bowie, MD; sister, Brenda T. Lucas of Franklinton; brother, Elijah W. Thorne (Marilyn) of Camp Springs, MD; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
