Mr. James Edward Rainey, age 80, of Knightdale, departed this life on Saturday, June 11, 2022.  

Funeral, 12 Noon, Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Mount Peace Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. J. Vincent Terry Sr.,Pastor, Officiating.  Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Friday, June 17, 2022 at the funeral home.  Interment, 9:30 AM, Monday, June 20, 2022, Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner.

Survivors; daughters, Jammie R. Holland (Anthony) of Knightdale and Sharon D. Cox of Raleigh; son, Kenneth Jerome Cox of Zebulon; daughter, Paula Beninato of Hartford, CT; several grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Pearl Dickerson and Maxine Hartsfield (Luther) both of Raleigh, Barbara A. Ferguson (James) of Knightdale, Lois Cooley (Terrance) of Wendell and Barbara L. Rainey of Raleigh; and a host of other relatives and friends.
