Funeral, 12 Noon, Monday, January 22, 2024, St. Matthew Baptist Church, 5410 Louisburg Road, Raleigh. The Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Avery, Pastor, Officiating. Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service. Interment, Montlawn Memorial Park. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the funeral home.
Survivors; wife, Sonya Barnett Rivers; children, James Johnson (Davida), Kristen Rivers and Jasmine Rivers; sibling, Floyd A. Rivers; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
