Mr. Ivan O. Clarke, age 90, of Raleigh, departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at WakeMed, Raleigh.  

Funeral, Friday, August 16, 2024, 12 Noon, Mount Peace Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. J. Vincent Terry Sr., Pastor.  Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  Interment, Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 Wilmington Street, Raleigh.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the funeral home.    

Survivors; children; Geoffrey H.D. Clarke (Sylvia), Delmonte E. Clarke, Zentry D. Clarke Allen (Derrick), Eartha “Dawn” Clarke-Crawford (John), Ivan D. Clarke, Brian M. Clarke (Joan), Iona K. Clarke, Marilyn N. Clarke (Douglas Hunter), Fayann Clarke, Clayton Clarke, Novlette Clarke, and Dahlia Clarke; siblings, Carmen Cooper, Roy Cooper, Cecil Clarke, Cordell White, Carol Clarke Jones, June Clarke Downer, Enis Clarke, Jean Clarke, Durant Clarke, Trevor Clarke and Harry Clarke; 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including cousins whom he considered brothers, Alston Gordon, Albert Stoney and Angier "Eggy" Robinson as well as his great grand's pets, Moose and Prince.
