Mr. Eugene Pettis, age 85, of Charlotte, departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Atrium Health University City in Charlotte.

Memorial Service, 12 Noon, Saturday, September 20, 2025, Weeping Willow AME Zion Church, 2220 Milton Road, Charlotte, NC. Visitation with the family, 11 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the Memorial Service.

Survivors; children, Gina Pettis Dean (Carl A. Dean I) and Eugene Omar Pettis; grandchildren, Carl A. Dean II and Sheena Dean; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including the love of his life, Yvonne Simmons Pettis.
