Mr. Charlie Fountain Kea, age 88, of Raleigh, departed this life on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Funeral, 12 Noon, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Baptist Grove Church, 7109 Leesville Road, Raleigh.  Interment, Church Cemetery, Raleigh.  Visitation with the family, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  The Rev. Dr. Bankole Akinbinu, Pastor, Officiating.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Friday, September 22, 2023 at the funeral home.  

Survivors; children, Sadie Nix (Joseph), Connie R. Kea, Sandra G. Morris (Michael), Cheryl K. Downing (William), Darry D. Kea, Pete L. Kea (Swanee) and Paul A. "Tony" Kea (Jennifer); siblings, Willie T. Kea, Clifton D. Kea and Alice J. Mitchell (James); 17 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends at 1241 Woodland Church Road, Wake Forest on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
