Funeral, 3 PM, Friday, June 26, 2026, at Steven L. Lyons Funeral Home, 1515 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh. The Rev. Benjamin Jones, Pastor, Officiating. Visitation, 2:30 PM to 3 PM, prior to the Service. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the funeral home.
Survivors; children, Boston Hamer, Jr. (Paulette), Tina Burgos (Alexander), Darrell James (Twana), Connie Rogers, Willie James (Christin), Michael James, George Hamer (Delores), and Mario Hamer; brother, James Hamer; sisters, Mattie Johnson (John), Maxine Jones, Molly Singletary; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
