Mr. Alexander W. Goode III, age 62, of Raleigh, departed this life on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Funeral, 11 AM, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Mount Peace Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Raleigh.  The Rev. J. Vincent Terry Sr., Pastor.  Pastor Wardell Wiggins, Officiating.  Interment, Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the funeral home. 

"Alex" was preceded in death by; his father, Alexander W. Goode Jr; his brother, Michael D. Smith; maternal grandparents, William Rufus Smith and Genesee Smith; paternal grandparents, Alexander W. Goode and Mary Goode.

Survivors; daughter, Ebony Goode; son, Emmanuel Goode; 7 grandchildren; mother, Carolyn Smith Hines (James); siblings, Cherita Hunter, Jacqueline Sweet (Robert), Wanda Davis (Keith), Alexis Goode, Adelle Goode and Curtis Bailey; aunts and uncles, The Rev. Frances Holloway (The Rev. Johnny Holloway), Dr. Melba McCallum (Ben), Estelle Williams (Frankie), Valecia Scott (Stewart), John Goode, The Rev. Robert L. Goode (Vera), Lawrence C. Hines; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
