Dr. Hattie Riddick Houston, age 76, of Raleigh, departed this life on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Duke Raleigh Hospital. 

Funeral, 1 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 5410 Louisburg Road, Raleigh.  The Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Avery, Pastor, Officiating.  Visitation, 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service.  Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the funeral home.  Interment, Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner.   

Survivors; husband, Gabriel D. Houston of the home; son, Christopher T. Houston of Thomasville; sisters, Cathy R. Hawkins of Raleigh and Mary R. Harrington (James) of Stone Mountain, GA; 5 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a special niece, Renee' Massenburg (Michael) of Raleigh.
