Deacon Eddie Parks, Jr., age 84, of Garner, departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
Funeral, 2 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church, 3039 Wendell Road, Wendell. The Rev. Barry McFarland, Pastor. The Rev. Virginia Dingle, Pastor of Miracle Temple Christian Center of Raleigh, Eulogist. Visitation, 1:30 PM to 2 PM, prior to the service. Interment, Perry Lake Cemetery, Pine Bluff, AR. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the funeral home.
Survivors; wife, Rev. Rachel Cooley Parks; children, Deanna Parks, Cedric Parks, Cory Parks, Stephanie Parks, Pamela Alston, Edward Lee Parks, Kelley Parks, and Cebrena Parks; siblings, Isaac Parks (Diane), Willie Gean Parks (Sazie), Ray Parks (Bobbie), Albert Parks (Ann), Lloyd Parks, Bennie Parks, Lorene Bell and Gloria Sanders (William); 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Tonya Scarboro, Regina Scarboro and Brian Scarboro and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
