Survivors; father, Edward Earl Artist of Ayden, brothers, Elder Owen L. Forbes of Raleigh and Travis Peebles of Greenville; paternal grandparents, Rosa Artis-Bryant of Greenville, Aaron Harper and Queenie Harper both of Ayden; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
