Ms. Gertrude Lee Saunders, age 67, Raleigh, departed this life on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Transitions LifeCare (Hospice of Wake County).

Funeral, 12 Noon, Saturday, September 14, 2019, Christian Faith Baptist Church, 509 Hilltop Drive, Raleigh.  Visitation, 11:30 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the service.  The Rev. Dr. J.D. Ballard, Interim Pastor.  Bishop Patrick Dewberry, Officiating/Eulogist.  Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery. 

Survivors; son, Sean L. Saunders (Donna) of Raleigh; daughter, Tara D. Griffin (Allen) of Raleigh; sisters, Joann Robertson of Raleigh and Charlotte Tarpley of Pittsburg, PA; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Ashley & Roderick Wilder.

Public viewing, 12 Noon - 8 PM, Friday, September 13, 2019, at the funeral home.
