Mrs. Mary Helen Pope Smith, age 87, of Raleigh, departed this life on Monday, June 3, 2019. 

Funeral, 2:30 PM, Sunday, June 9, 2019, Grace AME Zion Church, 1401 Boyer Street.  The Rev. James Davis III, Pastor.  The Rev. Elzina Williams, Officiating.  Visitation, 2 - 2:30 PM, Sunday, prior to the service.

Survivors; daughter, Paulica P. Evans of the home; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing, 12 Noon - 8 PM, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at 2810 Laodicea Drive.
