Funeral, 11:00 AM, Monday, July 15, 2019, Mount Peace Baptist Church, 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Raleigh. Dr. J. Vincent Terry Sr., Pastor, The Rev. Reginald W. McClenton, Officiating.  Visitation, 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, prior to the service. Interment, Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner.

Survivors; daughters, Gloria Cassandra Daye of Raleigh; son, Daniel L. Daye, Jr. (Vicky) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Courtney R. Daye, James Perry, Moses Daye, Jr., and Holly Daye; great grandchildren, Madison, Nehiamiah, Amir, Jalil and Joshua, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 3404 Weir Way, Raleigh. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the funeral home
